"It is my intention to prove to this court that my client is completely innocent of the charges of theft of which he stands accused."

Gawd love sampling, it is a beautiful crime and does far more good than harm. Case in point is Backini, whose album Threads is a beautiful confection of jazzy brass samples, retro vocal snippets and tasty bass. His sound is downtempo Coldcut or Avalanches, and has the similar uplifting feeling to Since I Left You: like a warm sunny evening in a fading seaside resort; the album is beautiful with a slight sad tone that makes it compelling and enjoyable listening.

Champagne Flute epitomises the euphoric calm feeling the the album expresses, whilst Company B-Boy is a fun track that radiates the humour neccessary to sample-based music. Music should be fun, and this certainly is.
